Initial Psychiatric Evaluation
-
The initial psychiatric evaluation is the starting point for new patients. This 60-minute visit allows time to understand your current concerns, psychiatric and medical history, prior treatments, and goals for care.
Rather than focusing on symptoms in isolation, the evaluation looks at patterns over time and how mental health concerns interact with stress, sleep, physical health, and life circumstances.
-
In-depth clinical interview to get to know you & your concerns
Review of prior medications and treatments
Diagnostic impressions and discussion of options
Collaborative treatment planning and goal-setting
-
Are seeking ongoing psychiatric care
Experience anxiety, depression, mood changes, OCD, trauma-related symptoms, or attention difficulties
Want a careful, unhurried evaluation rather than a brief surface-level encounter
Ongoing Psychiatric Care
-
Thoughtful, evidence-based approach to prescribing, de-prescribing, and reconciling medications. The goal is to help you achieve balance, clarity, and lasting relief with minimal side effects and maximal results.
-
Individual therapy provides a safe, supportive space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and develop the tools to create a fulfilling life and achieve meaningful personal growth. Modalities include motivational interviewing, CBT, psychodynamic, and behavioral activation.
-
Value continuity and a collaborative relationship that integrates medical and mental health
Want time to understand medication decisions and adjustments
Prefer an approach that integrates psychotherapy when appropriate
Adult ADHD Evaluation
-
ADHD in adults often presents differently than expected, especially in women. Many individuals seeking evaluation are high-functioning professionals who have developed compensatory strategies, until symptoms such as distractibility, disorganization, emotional reactivity, or burnout become harder to manage.
-
Evaluations combine in-depth clinical interview and review of history dating back to childhood with computer-based neuropsychological testing to provide accurate, scientific insights into your cognitive strengths and challenges.
Not all patients seeking evaluation will meet criteria for ADHD. The goal is an honest, clinically grounded assessment.
-
Struggle with focus, attention, organization, procrastination, emotional regulation
Have trouble distinguishing ADHD from other conditions that can present similarly, including anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, sleep disturbance, or chronic stress
-
Consultation services are available for adults seeking diagnostic clarification, medication review, or treatment strategy that may or may not lead to ongoing treatment.
These services are appropriate for individuals who already have a treating clinician, as well as those seeking a focused, independent psychiatric perspective.
-
Comprehensive review of psychiatric history and prior treatments
Thoughtful diagnostic discussion and formulation
Evidence-based treatment recommendations

Second opinions regarding diagnosis or treatment approach
Medication reconciliation across multiple prescribers
Psychiatric support while starting or continuing GLP-1 or other metabolic treatments
